We’ve only had one event since I last wrote – our Christmas Party at Ibsley. It was a lovely festive evening, with all the usual dancing, singing and playing as well as some Christmas carols and a great American tea.

We’re back at Ibsley for our next meet, this time celebrating our birthday. There will be crafts and jigsaws in the hall on Saturday afternoon, in addition to our evening celebration.

Our AGM takes place at Weyhill, with camping in a lovely field behind the Weyhill Fair pub. The hall that we use is part of a complex of art and craft shops that are well worth a visit, along with a great cafe. Please have a think about whether you might like to join the committee – if you can commit some time to a few meetings throughout the year, then you can play a part in keeping our fantastic group running!

We were sad to hear of the passing of Patrick Kiddle during January this year. He had been a respected and valued member of Wessex for some time, serving as our Chairman for several years, and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with his wife Sue and their family.
