We camp at Winchester Rugby Club, which is less than half a mile from the centre of Winchester.
There is a good level footpath from the site straight into the city centre.

From M3 exit at Junction 9
Follow signs Midlands A34 & Basingstoke A33
After roundabout keep in right hand lane (signs Basingstoke A33)
Go under bridge and turn left into London Road (signs Winchester)
(the Cart & Horses pub will be on the right)
This road runs runs into Worthy Road
After approx 1.5 miles turn left into Russell Road
Then turn right into Oglander Road
After 100 yds turn left into Hillyer Way
Follow signs to the Rugby Ground.
