Minature Railway weekend

We are camping at Drove Lea Farm, which is in the Meon Valley just west of Fareham. The farm was originally part of the Titchfield Abbey estate, and the ruins of the Abbey are close by.
The site opens at 2pm on Friday, and closes at 4pm on Tuesday. Hookups are available for an additional fee.

Leave M27 at Junction 9 and take A27 (signed Fareham/Portsmouth).
After 1.7 miles at the bottom of the hill turn left into Mill Lane.
The site is ½ mile on the left, just past the Abbey.

Our usual evening of dancing, music, singing and other informal entertainment will be held on Saturday evening at Titchfield Parish Rooms.

You can bring your own refreshments, although tea and coffee is provided in the interval.

Steam Railway Weekend

Fareham Model Engineers will be holding their Steam Railway Weekend on Saturday and Sunday. This takes place in The Railway Field, which is next to the site.

There will be two Passenger Carrying Miniature Railways, Model Engineering Exhibitions, Radio Controled Model Boats, Classic Cars, Handicraft Stalls and much more.

In the area:

Titchfield Haven Nature Reserve Nationally renowned nature reserve, celebrated as a winter refuge for ducks, geese and wading birds, and summer breeding ground for the rare Avocet.
Titchfield Abbey Ruins of a 13th century abbey, next to our site (English Heritage).

Titchfield village (1 mile) has local shops and a small Co-Op.

Fareham (3 miles) has a wide range of shops and supermarkets.

Eating out

There are several pubs close to the site, including the Fisherman's Rest, Titchfield Mill and Wheatsheaf Inn.

Titchfield Village, Fareham and the surrounding area has a wide range of restaurants, cafes and takeways.

Transport

First Bus Route 72 provides an hourly service from Titchfield Village to Southampton and Gosport.

Fareham Station is 2 miles from the site.
