Friday 15th June 2012 2 nights Pitton Set in beautiful rolling countryside, this site is in a farm field close to the small village of Pitton , and is about 7 miles away from Salisbury. This is a beautifully peaceful site where you can relax and chill out for the weekend. In previous years we have been treated to spectactular aerial displays by families of swallows, and we have also seen little owls in the oak trees on the field. The site opens at 2pm on Friday, and closes at 4pm on Sunday. The stewards for this meet can be contacted via the Wessex mobile phone on 07939 592 200. This is an informal folk dance evening, interspersed with song, poetry or music. You can bring your own refreshments, although tea and coffee is provided in the interval. The Hook & Glove is 1½ miles away in Farley, and provides bar food and a Sunday Roast. There is also a wide range of restaurants and pubs in and around Salisbury to suit most tastes and pockets.
