Friday 11th May 2012 3 nights Winchester We camp at Winchester Rugby Club, which is less than half a mile from the centre of Winchester. There is a good level footpath from the site straight into the city centre. The site opens at 2pm on Friday and closes at 4pm on Monday, and the stewards for this meet can be contacted via the Wessex mobile phone on 07939 592 200. Directions: Winchester Rugby Club Hillyer Way Winchester SO23 7SU OS Ref: 185/485304 From M3 exit at Junction 9 Follow signs Midlands A34 & Basingstoke A33 After roundabout keep in right hand lane (signs Basingstoke A33) Go under bridge and turn left into London Road (signs Winchester) (the Cart & Horses pub will be on the right) This road runs runs into Worthy Road After approx 1.5 miles turn left into Russell Road Then turn right into Oglander Road After 100 yds turn left into Hillyer Way Follow signs to the Rugby Ground. This is an informal folk dance evening, interspersed with song, poetry or music. You can bring your own refreshments, although tea and coffee is provided in the interval.
