Wareham, Corfe Castle and Swanage are all in easy reach, and there are good walks in the immediate area. The site opens at 2pm on Friday, and closes at 4pm on Tuesday. Both start at 19:30 in Furzebrook Village Hall, which is a 10-minute walk from the site, and will feature the usual range of dancing, music and singing, and other entertainment. Maypole Dancing May will be celebrated in traditional style on Monday by dancing around the maypole set up in the middle of the site. Wareham is 2 miles from the site, with a wide range of local shops and supermarkets (including Co-op & Sainsburys).
There are several country pubs in the area, and Wareham also has a range of restaurants, pubs and takeways.
Wilts & Dorset Route 40 runs along the A351 not far from the site, providing a regular service to Swanage, Wareham and Poole.
